This session will explore the growing trends toward alternative materials used for cladding in today’s building materials industry, with a focus on performance, design flexibility, and long-term durability.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of:

  • The evolving shift toward alternative exterior cladding materials in modern construction
  • Key differences between shingle options, with emphasis on profile variations and performance expectations
  • How to confidently specify cellular PVC shingles for a range of sidewall design and construction challenges
  • Integration of new and existing trimboard within design applications
  • Standards and best practices for successful installation of cellular PVC shingles in both new and retrofit projects

This course is designed to support architects, designers, and building professionals in making informed specification decisions while improving project performance and longevity.
