Please join us for an AIA CEU Program presented by Tim Fish of HUBER Engineered Woods. This hands-on course includes a tour of the "Prove It Tour" trailer and engages participants in discussions, demonstrations, and the installation of building envelope components using simulated construction mock-ups.
Participants will explore the fundamental functions of a building envelope, including wall assemblies, transitions, moisture management, airflow control, thermal performance, resilient roofing systems, and drainage efficiencies. The course also covers advancements in high-performance, and installation benefits. Through interactive learning, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to evaluate and discuss envelope solutions that meet or exceed current code requirements and enhance overall building performance.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After completion of this course, participants will be equipped to:
Evaluate the benefits of high-performance floor systems, including MgO underlayment.
Describe the key functions of a building envelope for moisture, air, and thermal control.
Analyze product solutions for air, water, and thermal barrier code compliance.
Apply building science principles to vapor retarder selection and insulation.
Demonstrate proper installation of window flashing, wall penetrations, and wall to foundation transitions.
Join us after the CEU for food and fun!
The fun begins after the presentation with food, beverages and give-aways from 5-7PM.
